Describe the issue

“Upgrade all” showed when opened ROON this morning. Clicked “Upgrade All”, 3 hours later “icon” squiggly lines moving. Only option is “Select a different server”. Prior to “Upgrade all”, ROON and ARC were working perfectly. Nucleus shows as “offline”. Have reset router, changed ports on Netgear switch(5 port) that serves Nucleus, Apple TV and Streamer DAC. Apple TV and Streamer work fine.

Describe your network setup

ORBI Router, Netgear 5 port switch, Nokia Fiber Optic Modem. Ethernet wired to all

I don’t know if this matters at all, but I never “upgrade all.” I always ungrade my Nucleus first, then Dell XPS 15 Roon server and client, then Mac Mini Roon server and client. Lastly, I go to my iPhone and two iPads. Sometimes, one or more has already been updated, sometimes not. Of course, that includes Roon Remote and Roon ARC.

The only hiccup I ever experience is sometimes the Dell needs a reboot to finish and sometimes not.

When away from home, I use Splashtop to upgrade the Nucleus and Mac Mini and upgrade the Dell and IOS devices locally, wherever I am. I think the order I use might be different, but still only one at a time.

Hey @hutchp,

Thanks for writing in! As a next step, safely power down the Nucleus, and leave it unplugged for a few minutes.

Then see if you can connect it directly to your primary router, and boot it back up - see if it comes back online again and if you’re able to connect.

If not, see if you’re able to access the webUI of the Nucleus. You can do this by using a web browser from your computer - here’s more info on how to do this:

If you aren’t able to access the webUI, the next step would be to hook up the Nucleus to a monitor via HDMI (while still powered on and connected to your router) and share a screenshot of what you see.

We’ll be on standby for your reply, thank you! :raised_hands:

Relocated Nucleus to room router is in and plugged into router. Works fine now, just have to move router so Nucleus has ownshelf, and change some cabling. Thank you, a Happy Lifetime ROON subscriber since inception. Mahali
