I just stumbled onto some new software from Rogue Amoeba called SoundSource. Or at least I didn’t realize they had it till now.
Basically it will allow you to assign audio units to your outputs permanently. In my case I really enjoy GoodHertz CanOpener plug-in. It’s a cross-feed plugin that’s more advanced than the internal implementation in Roon.
