Description of Issue

Roon will not play my local files anymore—can only stream from radio, Qobuz, Tidal. Recently I updated my ST I5 software to version 2.8 to prepare for new Roon update, as advised on the forum. Now when I try to play local files I get a “file not loading” error message and Roon just skips through the album playing nothing. This happens with all endpoints wired and wireless

Reboot everything starting from the Roon Core.

Rebooted everything and tried playing local library to my wired endpoint Ayre QX5-Twenty. Same error messages—failed to load, stopping playback too many failures
So this is happening both wirelessly and via Ethernet cable. I’ve checked my storage location, forced a rescan, cleaned up library etc, no luck.

I solved the problem with the help of Andrew Gillis of Small Green Computer who suggested disabling the current Storage location of my music files and then adding the correct Storage location. That worked. I guess my Storage path got messed up somehow so I disabled what was there and then just added the correct one by Browsing and selecting the location of my music files. All is fine now.
