Roon won't load after DB re-instal

Roon Core Machine

SMG sonicTransporter i5 running 2.8
Mac OS (end points)

I got the corrupt database warning, reinstalled Roon Core on the SonicT. Roon started, I pointed it to the SonicT and then, ooops maybe, logged in. Now it just sits and spins, loading nothing. I don’t see way to log out, which it seems is what I need to do to access the restore database link?

Hi @Greg_Hill1 thanks for letting us know.

Could you please complete the following and let us know if you continue to have this issue?

  • Stop RoonServer

  • Navigate to your RoonServer’s Database Location

  • Find the folder that says “RoonServer”

  • Rename the “RoonServer” folder to “RoonServer_old”

  • Reinstall the RoonServer App from our Downloads Page to generate a new RoonServer folder

  • On the Roon Remotes, press “Use another Core” and connect to the new database

  • Restore a backup
