Roon won't login to Qobuz due to verification error (ref#E0E8E3)

Suddenly I can’t Log In to Qobuz via Roon – “Unauthorized” Error

Issue:
I’m consistently getting the following error when trying to log into Qobuz from within Roon:

“Error verifying account, please check your account details (Unauthorized)”

What I’ve Tried:

  • Verified credentials work on qobuz.com
  • Created a brand new Qobuz trial account with a streaming plan – same error in Roon
  • Logged out of Qobuz in Roon, deleted services.settings, restarted Core
  • Confirmed I’m using Roon Core in the Netherlands (Qobuz-supported country)
  • Checked system date/time — it’s correct and synced
  • Tried changing DNS to 8.8.8.8
  • Disabled all VPNs, proxies, and firewalls
  • Roon Core and Remote are fully up to date
  • Restarted router, Core, and all endpoints
  • Uninstalled / reinstalled Roon Server

My Setup:

  • Roon:** [Apple M4, macOS 15.5 / Roon and Roon Server 2.51 - build 1534]
  • Issue remains with Roon Server 2.52 build 1538
  • Qobuz Region:** Netherlands
  • Qobuz Accounts Tested:** 1 existing, 1 new trial with streaming enabled

Thanks for reaching out with your report. I am looking over your account diagnostics and I see that the error you seem to be getting is invalid username/password for your Qobuz login. So it seems your Roon Server is able to communicate with Qobuz servers, but it is not accepting the credentials, strange. And this works properly for play.qobuz.com on your end? Is there any change in behavior if you try to use a hotspot (if possible) to perform the login?

Now it is working again… maybe because I raised a ticket at Qobuz (but no repsonse yet)?

play.qobuz.com didn’t work either, but now it does too

Glad to hear that everything is working again! Yes, very possible that something on the Qobuz end was updated. In any case, I’ll go ahead and mark this one as solved, but should you have any further difficulties, just let us know!
