Roon won't open after roon software update today

I turned on roon today and it informed me a software update is available. I clicked on it but since then, the app on my pc won’t open roon although I can still play music on my system using the roon app on my phone. When I try to redownload roon from the roonlab site, I get a message to “quit all instances of RoonServer before continuing…” but I can’t figure out how to do this. Help!

The Roon Server on your PC is still running in the background. You can stop it by choosing Quit in the menu opened by a right-click on the Roon Server icon that is shown in the Background Programs section of the Taskbar (you may need to first click on the ^ in that section to show all the running background programs).
