Roon won't output to Node2

Using Macbook Air as core and IPad as Roon Remote
Plume Mesh WiFi Router
Bluesound Node 2 connected to router by ethernet
I cannot figure out how to get audio to output to my Node2 device. Works fine using the BluOs app. The Node 2 shows up under settings in Roon but it only allows the sound to be output to the MacBook Air. I don’t see an option to change this.

Welcome to the forum, @Jim_Davis!

Under Settings > Audio make sure the Bluesound Node is enable.

Then make sure you select the zone.

This is what I see under the audio screen in settings

How do I change the output to Node2?

According the that screenshot music is playing on the Node. Perhaps you could explain your setup and what is connected to the Node.

I have my NAD AVR connected to the Node by ethernet. It works fine when I stream through the BluOS app either on my MacBook or my iPad. But when I try to do it through Roon, even if I select the Node2 it will only play the audio through the MacBook or the iPad, depending on which device I am using at the time. Both the MacBook and iPad are connected via Wifi

I apologize, I meant to say I have the Node2 connected directly to the router by ethernet, and the Node2 is connected via analog outs to the receiver

Somethings not right with your set up. The Node 2 should not show up connected to the Mac your adding an output from the mac not the Bluesound… It should be under its own section. I have a feeling this is network related and it’s blocking discovery What is Roon core running on, is it wired or wireless? Check the IP address of your core and check the IP address of the Node 2 using Bluesound app. Are they in the same range. The first 3 sets of numbers should be the same eg 192.168.1 the 4th will be different for each device. If they 3rd is different then you mesh system is running different networks for wireless and wired or perhaps for each mesh node.

Roon core is running on a MacBook Air via wifi. The Node2 is connected directly to the router by ethernet. The MacBook Air has no ethernet connection so I have to use Wifi for it

Check your ips. Mesh systems can often be the root cause of many Roon issues as they can block multicast traffic that Roon depends on and often create multiple networks that Roon will not traverse. Bluesound app is a little more robust at this. List the IP address for core and Bluesound and we can rule this in your out as an issue.

It’s working now! Not sure what I did but if I have any more issues I will post again. Thanks for your help!

Maybe your Mac connected to a different part of the mesh? Or your core just took a while to find it. Sometimes a reboot can clear things. Hope it sticks.

Me too. Fingers crossed. But so far sounds great!
