Roon won't play certain tracks from Qobuz, gets stuck on progress bar (ref#K9XYO0) [Partially Resolved, Qobuz Backend Issue]

I have the same problem as all the above. And I can play the missing track on the Qobuz app.

This is especially annoying when playing a multi-movement classical work.

The error message I get confirms that the problem is with loading the track from Qobuz. I really look forward to hearing that the problem is fixed.

Don’t get me wrong, but all roon users and other users of third party apps with Qobuz integration do have exactly this issue, all :slightly_smiling_face:

From Qobuz:

We have identified the source of the playback errors: it is a caching anomaly with our CDN provider.

In practice, some distribution servers are hosting a corrupted or incomplete file. Since each audio quality corresponds to a separate recording, switching quality often allows you to fall back on a healthy file and work around the issue.

Our teams are currently listing the affected tracks and carrying out a gradual cache purge. The situation should be resolved very shortly.

Thank you again for your patience and understanding.

· Qobuz Breaking Up

I am having recurring issues when using Qobuz. Tracks are breaking up and becoming distorted, tracks are skipping after 30 seconds, or tracks are not available. This has been happening for several weeks. When I pay internet radio it works fine. I am using a Nucleus One server with the latest firmware, linked to a Linn DSM and two System Audio Silverback 1 zones.

I love that there are other options, but it seems to be impacting all high res files. And this is frustrating, because I’d like to maximize resolution. It’s part of the purpose of a Qobuz subscription, vs. just AirPlay from Apple Music or other options. For instance, there is a notable difference between the 44.1 version of Jeff Buckley Hallelujah and the 192K counterpart. Curious if there will be any resolution to these data centers’ corrupt files?

That’s nothing to do with the sample rate, and everything to do with different mastering (versions.) In some cases, you won’t notice a difference, so until Qobuz fixes the issue, it may be a good idea to limit playback to 44.1 kHz or 48 kHz to see if playback is uninterupted.

Qobuz is now problematic with Roon a different way … when playing a simple “New Wave Hits of the 80’s” playlist (almost all 44.1/16) , on some tracks it plays like 20-30 seconds then fails and skips to next track and shows “Qobuz is loading slowly. This may indicate a network or connectivity problem” …my connection is fine as I get over 1000 Mbps down and 200 up via ookla… this ongoing saga is getting old.

Please, search and read first, before posting :slightly_smiling_face:This issue is already known and massively in discussion. A fix from Qobuz is in the making.

Hello @Geoff_Moore ,

Thanks for reaching out to our support.

We are sorry that you face such a problem.

As of now this problem is know and being investigated.

Since the problem is on the back-end side there is no active workaround as of now that can be applied from your side.

Update: Playback Issues | Qobuz Club

Same error, connected over tailscale. Applies to ios and android.

Playback of tracks from my local lib ok, playback with the qobuz app also.

This concerns arc, no qobuz playback at all.

Hi @Harald_Pott, @Nickpi, @lwisotzky

There is a global issue with Qobuz’s CDN affecting Roon (including ARC) and other 3rd party players.

Status updates are being post here in this topic.

Merci!
Thank you very much for clarifying that!
Best regards

5 tracks that had this issue are playing now. Is it fixed or did I just get lucky ?
