Same here. Roon simply won’t play “Through the Morning, Through the Night” from Robert Plant/Alison Krauss “Raising Sand” in the default 24/96 version. The progress bar sits there pulsating forlornly. Other tracks on the album play okay. If I switch to the 16/44.1 version that track is fine.
@Vitor_Goncalves , same issue here. I believe the culprit is Qobuz, who has been swapping out catalog numbers more frequently than usual these days (typically to replace a Redbook with 24/192 or similar). Roon hangs at 0:00, and simply won’t skip the track as it used to do. I’ve had numerous playlists “stuck” on various tracks today, particularly when listening to Daily Mixes. Very frustrating.
This looks to be the same as

This is happening to me as well. You explained it better. I also noticed in my “album” tab where I have it set to show “date Added”. This shows my most recent added albums. Today I noticed about 20 some albums in my album folder that was added years ago, now showing as my most recent added albums. Something isn’t right with Roon
I’m having the same issue. For example, Eagles track Hotel California won’t play on the 192/24 Hotel California album, but the rest of the tracks are fine. This happing on more and more albums.
When I stream directly to my DAC, bypassing roon, there are no issues. This is super frustrating. Hope they will acknowledge there is an issue and pursue a solution soon.
Been seeing the same thing the last 2 weeks or so. No issues up until then. Tracks randomly start working after time only to see new tracks fail to stream.
Same today. Was out for a run and a few tracks on the album I was playing through Roon Arc sourced from Qobuz were not working.
I confirm this issue. Roon dont follow up some tracks, and is stalled. Very annoying.
What’s so bizarre is the patchiness of this behaviour.
On David Crosby’s “If I Could Only Remember My Name (50th Anniversary, 2021 Remaster)”, 24/96 version, the following won’t play:
- Music Is Love
- The Wall Song
- Coast Road
The other 20 tracks do.
Hello @Paolo_Quirici
Thank you for reaching Roon support.
I have gone ahead and enabled diagnostics mode for your account and what this action will do is next time your Roon Server is active, a set of logs will automatically be generated and uploaded to our servers for analysis.
I wanted to reach out because I’ve been keeping an eye on our servers, waiting for the aforementioned diagnostics report.
For some reason, it is not reaching our servers, even after I tried re-enabling diagnostics on your account. I also ran a quick test, and I was able to submit a similar report from my setup here, so something else is going on.
So we can move forward, I was hoping that you could use the directions found here and send them to our Logs Uploader Service and let us know after, thanks!
Hello @sme019
Thank you for reaching Roon support.
We’ve discussed this with our senior QA and development teams. The team is investigating some possibilities here and, as soon as that investigation is complete, we’ll be sure to follow up ASAP.
You have our apologies for the trouble here, and we’ve greatly appreciated your patience as we continue investigating this tricky issue. We’ll be in touch as soon as we can.

This is the problem I have been experiencing. What’s really, really weird, though is that yesterday when the track hung at 0:00 I was busy doing something aside from music listening and just forgot about it. Maybe a half hour later, the track played and Roon kept chugging along until it reached the next Qobuz hang. (At least I think it’s Qobuz.)
I really wish this had happened BEFORE my Qobuz annual subscription renewed. It would have been worth all the hassle of rehoming my library to Tidal.
I’m hoping that Roon and Qobuz will sort this out sooner than later

I feel seen. I bought a Wattson Madison Streamer/DAC about the time this started happening to me and was afraid that the issue was with the Madison. First every now and again now pretty much every album I play. I have had luck, of course, in switching to Tidal through Roon and in going straight to Qobuz connect. I miss the Roon interface, though. (If anyone is curious, the Madison is wonderful — an improvement over the Auralic/Qutest set up I had used for years.).
By the way, I’m using a Nucleus. All connected by Ethernet.
maybe helping you as well: remove the Qobuz album, then re add it. Fixed missing tracks for me and play issues. Maybe helping here as well.
I tried a remove and re-add. One of the three tracks now plays, but two still don’t.
I’ve been experiencing more frequent ‘fails’ of late. Essentially they seem to fall into three categories;
-
Track is marked Unavailable in red. Sometimes they become available again but, more often, don’t.
-
An error message appears saying cannot get track from Qobuz. This only seems to have started recently.
-
The track is simply ignored and the playlist, or streamed album, simply jumps to the next track. This is getting much more common.
Every one I have tried plays in Qobuz directly. What is happening ?
i won’t go into details of individual tracks, of which there are many, but are there underlying reasons for these failures ?
By the way - I can add these tracks to a playlist again and all seems to work. I’m assuming Roon is losing the links to a variety of tracks.
I find that Qobuz replaces a library album with a different version from time to time. The library album’s tracks then show as “unavailable”, requiring a manual effort to replace the library version with the new one.
I believe the main topic of this thread concerns the recent issue where random tracks simply won’t play. If they’re in a playlist then play just stops completely as Roon keeps attempting to play the broken track. It wouldn’t be quite so bad if Roon gave up, spat out an error message and moved to the next track. At least the music would keep going.
