5 tracks that had this issue are playing now. Is it fixed or did I just get lucky ?
Update April 9th 2026
We’ve just performed a cache purge with our CDN, which should resolve the issue for most tracks, including those not streamable via partner apps or Qobuz Connect.
If you previously experienced issues with specific tracks, we’d really appreciate it if you could try again and let us know if everything is now working properly, your feedback helps us. Thanks !
Qobuz tracks at home via the roon app are playing. In the arc app I can’t play anything because a Qobuz connection error ![]()
And you are Qobuz?

Hey everyone,
As some of you already noted in this thread, Qobuz has now posted an update on their side confirming what we had been investigating together: the issue was caused by a CDN caching bug affecting hi-res tracks. In some cases, delivery servers were returning a corrupted first chunk, which explains why the problem only affected certain tracks and why switching audio quality could sometimes make playback work.
A number of you also mentioned that things seemed to be improving over the last week or so, and that matches what was happening on the backend. Qobuz ran a full purge with Akamai, clearing the bad cache entries across tens of thousands of affected tracks. That backend cleanup is what restored playback for most users.
At this point, we consider the issue largely resolved. You may still run into an isolated failure while the CDN fully settles, but the underlying cause has been addressed. If you are still seeing widespread problems after today, please let us know.
@vova , the playlist shown below stops on “Born in the USA” at exactly 1:05, everytime, and causes this Endpoint to freeze up (nothing will play again until I restart Server). I realize you consider the issue closed, but unfortunately there’s still issues. Time for another playlist - I’m worn out trying to sort this one out.
Great News !
Hey @Neil_Small,
Thanks for the follow-up! As @vova mentioned above, there is very likely still lingering content that has not yet been updated.
Give it 24 hours, and if you’re still running into the same stoppages, please let us know. ![]()
The issue here is it locks up. No skipping tracks, just freezing up, and Roon can’t recover. I understand that writing code to solve bugs is incorrect, but this is a new problem. My guess is the remaining portion of the track is missing, and Server is waiting to buffer it. Ug. Thanks for the response.
@benjamin Where should users report issues? Qobuz has asked that any tracks still failing be reported. Should Roon update this thread with the correct place to report these Qobuz‑related issues, or will Roon Support collect the problematic tracks mentioned here and forward them to Qobuz?
Latest firmware seemed to fix the issue, but today it reappeared – for three albums in the brand new Qobuz Grand Selection, as of today. So, hardly “lingering content”?
I haven’t seen any skipped Qobuz tracks today. Fingers crossed. ![]()
Not resolved here either. Had different tracks and albums that did not play. For me it is getting worse over the last weeks and today after the big fix, happy to report in the correct format to get it resolved.
Same here, arc is totally useless for me at this point.
For me Arc plays nothing. I could just as well delete it.
Roon hardly plays a thing, and if it does start it often skips.
Qobuz have rendered their service unusable via third party access.
This has been going on for weeks getting worse by the day. Claims it is fixed are wildly exaggerated and suggest to me they still have no idea what they broke nor any idea of how to fix it.
Yesterday I contact Qobuz to explore closing my account and having at least the unused portion of the billing period refunded. I have heard nothing back. Perhaps their customer service is also impacted by their technical capabilities.
Has anyone else considered options. I will likely dump qobuz asap and switch to Tidal. A decision that I am not happy about. It feels like qobuz technical ineptitude may have done them some serious harm.
