Roon Version 1.3 (Build 262 64 bit) as core
OSX 10.12.6 Sierra
Hackintosh 7600K 16 G RAM (Used before with Roon)
Ethernet to Mac Mini to network share and ext. HDD
Less than 1Gig collection
Roon can’t access network so stalls logging in to Tidal and sees no audio devices.
Moving forward, to help aide in my understanding of this behavior you’re reporting, would you kindly provide me with the following:
Please provide the details of your network configuration/topology, being sure to provide insight into any networking hardware you are implementing. The more detail you can provide, the better.
Do you have any active firewalls or antivirus application currently running?
Can you please provide some further insight into this behavior. You mentioned that Roon can’t access your network, but are you able to reach the internet outside of the application?
Hi
The computer running the core is connected to the router by ethernet. The core usually sees a mac mini (and library), Devialet Expert Pro 220, and Raspberry Pi / DigiOne which are all connected to the same router through a a switch. Also two Auralic Aries minis by wi-fi. This hasn’t changed and functioned perfectly before.
Only the computer running the core has changed. The data on the new computer were restored by migration assistant and may have become corrupted? Perhaps I should remove all traces of Roon and re-install? How would this be done?
No firewalls or anti-virus running.
The computer can reach the internet and browse, e-mail and download etc.
I can also access and screen share with the mac mini. The mini and the Raspberry
Pi are running Roon Bridge.
The problem: I open Roon. It asks me to sign in. It then grinds away showing the Roon logo and doesn’t progress. For hours.
