Roon won't start on Win 10PC after working fine for months

With Andybob’s post (18, it is most unclear why the corruption happened such that Roon would not start and that a two month old backup did the trick.

Does WIn 10 updates play such havoc on Roon? I have Win10 pro 64 and not much else in the way of programs on the matchine. It is pretty lightly used.

Really don’t think there’s a Roon issue here, I’ve never seen the database corrupted unless I’ve given it reason to and in every instance on every platform it’s involved power being removed whilst Roon was running.

I guess that would mean WIN 10 updates bring it down. I am skeptical. If so, wouldn’t there be mass reports of problems?
