Ropiee driving multiple dacs

I am going to have a weird use case here. I am going to get a singxer su-6 to drive two dacs…and R26 via i2s and a schiit singular via aes. The singxer will be fed by a rpi 4b running ropieee.

Will ropieee work in this way? Will roon see both dacs as audio devices? Trying to save money by using one ddc for two dacs.

Yes, I run a DAC hat and USB DAC on the same Raspberry PI 3B using Ropieee.

I also run several ropiee endpoints with multiple USB DACs attached, but if I understand correctly you’re asking if you can connect the singxer via usb and then connect it to multiple DACs? (And I have no idea if that will work)

@James_Fitzell already pointed to the real question…

RoPieee can handle 2 USB DAC’s simultaneously, which can also be addressed as 2 independent DAC’s.

How this will work with Singxer I don’t know, but I suspect it will not: the Singxer acts like a bridge, so one USB device in, one audio device out. The only thing I can imagine that it is capable of outputting the same signal on multiple devices: so that would mean that both DAC’s will get the same audio data. On RoPieee’s level this means however one single DAC (The Singxer).
