Ropiee is only visible on wired network using Roon

Hello, my Ropiee / Roon combo including Chord mojo is running well - if I use Ropiee ethernet based. Wifi enabled Ropiee is not visible in my network . It was working before, it might have been changed after an update.
It is RPi4 , Ropiee updated recently to 01.04 sw update.
What should I do or check? thanks

Istvan

Have you checked the webUI of RoPieee to make sure the WiFi is still turned on and setup?

Also, check your router to see if it’s WiFi “sees” the RPi WiFi.

Thanks for your reply. I have checked both and the answer is yes.

How are you searching for the RPi on your network? By IP address? The Wi-fi adapter on the RPi has a different MAC address from the ethernet connection, so the IP addresses may well be different.

i am not an expert, so I could only check my Asus router device search list as follows:

Another view, clicking on ropiee device:

If you log into your RPi via a browser with the wired IP address, then go to Network, Wired/Wireless, there’s a “More info” button. What comes up if you click on that?

Here’s what shows up on mine. The wireless IP address is different to the wired IP Address:

With wireless, you have selected the correct network, provided the password and then clicked Configure to complete the process?

Why are they on different subnets?

That would explain visibility issues…

yes, I did the configuring again, as you have suggested

If they are on different subnets, what should I do?

Before you change anything go to the Settings/general page in Roon and see what IP your core is using.
All endpoints and remotes need to be on the same subnet as the core.

You should be able to adjust this in your router.
