Ropieee and Allo USBridge Signature

Happy New Year everybody!

I haven’t used my Allo USBridge Signature for a while, but yesterday I wanted to put the USBridge back into service.

I flashed a current image of RoPieee for the USBridge Signature (2024.12[1996]) to a microSD card and inserted the SD card into the USBridge. But no success – Audio USB is “not detected” and no option to chose the USBridge as a hat.

What am I missing? Advice would be greatly appreciated!

Many thanks,
Timo

DAC is connected and powered on, I presume?

Many thanks for your quick reply Harry!

Yes, the DAC (Chord Mojo 2) is connected and powered up. With the lights lit on, the Mojo almost resembles the Christmas tree we don’t have this year…

When disconnected from the USBridge, the sample rate light (red: 44.1 kHz) goes off.

Can you send me feedback?

FWIW, I just noticed that RoPieee shows as Roon Bridge: Version 1.8 (build 1125) stable. But no Allo USBridge showing in Roon… :disappointed_relieved:

I’m not sure I understand you correctly… you are running 2 units?
he feedback shows that no DAC is connected: hence a no-show in Roon.

Many thanks for your message Harry. I hope you had a great weekend!!

Only one device is connected, but the USB cable might have been dodgy… I swapped it for another cable and nows the DAC shows up in Roon. But still it’s not quite working: repeated “crackle” when playing music and the Allo’s orange ACT light is blinking… :frowning:

Many thanks!!

But this is not the Chord, right?
Can you try this with the Chord? To make sure this is not DAC-related?

Thanks

No, the feedback was sent when using the Violectric V590’s internal DAC, but unfortunately it is no different when using Chord’s Mojo 2.

This is feedback produced with the Mojo 2 in operation: 8e8020167d94d8be

Many thanks!
