RoPieee as a Zone display with remote control

Hey all,

Apologies if this has been covered.

I am thinking of getting another Pi and a display to use as a Zone display only.

As far as I understand this is possible. As in, using RoPieee just as a display showing what’s been played on another Zone (in my case another instance of RoPieee connected to a DAC).

My question is - can you also connect a remote control via USB to this display only instance and control playback on the other zone?

Yes, this is possible. I do exactly this — I have 3 displays that show content from other endpoints, of which one I also use as a remote control controller.

Works fine as does doing all 3 on one RPi with display and usb dac and remote control
