RoPieee & Roon Volume Dips

Hi All

Long-time lurker, first-time poster.

I am experiencing occasional dips in volume when playing audio from Roon via RoPieee. The volume randomly decreases, it doesn’t drop-out completely. These dips occur when playing files stored locally on my network and when playing Tidal tracks.

Setup as follows:

RoPieee 2026.08.3 (4037) [STABLE] - All settings at default, wired network connection, IP address via DCHP
Raspberry Pi 4 Model B Rev 1.5, 8GB RAM
Audio output USB to Toslink into Fiio K11

Roon audio plays perfectly from my laptop directly connected to the same preamp.

I have searched for a solution but have found nothing specific to my issue.

Do you have some information on your Roon setup?

What’s the setting of your volume control?

And how does the ‘audio output USB to Toslink’ look like?

Thanks for the rapid response.

Roon server is installed on another machine on the network. Let me know what particular settings you’re looking for and I’ll do my best to get them to you.
