2023.05.1 has also an upgrade of the WiFi component that also takes care of the region stuff, so I’m curious if that changes it.
In general it works like this: RoPieee ‘knows’ in which region the unit is located and the WiFi component uses this to make sure it follows local regulations with respect to channels etc.
So normally this should not happen.
Please upgrade to 2023.05.1 and let me know if that makes any difference.
If it still occurs you can send me feedback so I can have a look.
thx for the quick respone… I’ll do the upgrade later today… one question… the webinterface doesn’t notify me about an update being available… do I have to download from the homepage and install from the sd card for this version ?
The unit is powered up 24x7 and I have no reboot schedule or auto-update enabled… the last reboot was today (shortly before I started this thread)… the last power cycle was 6 weeks ago afte a power outage…
the “update” to the 2023 version was done a few months back… (I did that like a install from scratch with a downloaded image)
Update regarding the OT: The Channel 0 problem seems not related to RoPieee… I saw some other devices (Android) displayed as “connected via Channel 0” as well… after changing the AP to a specific channel RoPieee connected to this channel and the view in my UniFi management was correct (before that I was using an Auto setting which should select the channel with the least interference)
no update information on my RoPieee system as of now… the client was online since we last wrote… I rebooted the client, but still no update information…
