I’ve configured on my router and the ropiee page. Looks good It apperas that roon recognises my device. but when go woreless, the router and Ropieee page lose contact. My log number is 192.168.178.19/24
What is the IP address or Roon server?
When you set RoPieee up on WiFi it’ll have a separate IP address.
With it set up on WiFi it needs to be on the same subnet as when it’s connected via Ethernet - e.g. 192.168.178.xxx
If it is setup on the same subnet, with your web browser type http://ropieee.local in the address bar. If it is correctly set it should open the webUI.
192.168.178.51/24

I reserved an IP address on the router for the Ropiee before doing further config.
This is the Ropie IP address : 192.168.178.19/24. I think it drops the /24. The webUI is working only w ethernet cable.
I think Maybe there is something missing in the handoff to wifi reboot. A Chat response suggests a crucial step of unplugging the ethernet cable right after starting a reboot - does this make sense? Could it be an issue with 2.4gHz vs 5 gHz band? shooting in the dark…
Yep, it needs rebooting when moving from Ethernet to WiFi.
Check both 2.4 & 5 have the same SSID.
There will be two IP addresses for Ropieee. Whenever you change tge configuration, be sure to apply the changes, which will take a minute or so before rebooting.
The router will associate your static IP address to an ethernet MAC address. Your copper and WiFI interfaces have different MAC addresses. You shouldn’t be able to assign the same IP to two different MAC addresses.
For these reasons… you’ll need to find the address of the device on wifi which will be different than the copper interfaces even if you assigned a static to the copper interface.
