THANKS - that was the problem. The moves to wipe the unwanted M/S propaganda caused me to register as ADMINISTRATOR, not John, something which should have rung an alarm bell but did not. So, as a different person, I faced a different PC!!

Anyway, JOHN is now back, Roon is there after all and a lesson has been learned.

Just so you know there really isn’t a way to remove Edge. You are better off leaving it and setting your preferred browser as the default. Some system components rely on Edge and removing it forcibly can cause issues. Glad to hear everything is working.
