Now that I look at my WhatsApp messages it was this concert that my friend was asking if I wanted to go to.

I think I’d go. Not sure that I’d be able to talk any of my nearest and dearest into accompanying me. You appear to have at least one friend that would join you.

Here are the links I promised from the Auralic CEO about how he / they see the future of audio.

It’s interesting as they have effectively done a bit of a U-turn announcing their G3 series and then scrapping it.

I won’t be around for the next 3 weeks- Dublin → London → Brussels → Dublin beckons.

Link to the Radio Show I mentioned. First and second wave ska and associated stuff, including the jazz exodus from South Africa to the UK in the sixties. Always educational listening to Steve and John (I had not heard of The Equals) and a good bass workout for the system (including a great dub version of ‘Stand Down Margaret’):

Easter listening. Enjoyed this recording very much:

This also, is very pretty:

A discussion of Cricket.

Japanese Breakfast- For Melancholy Brunettes

Japanese Breakfast is the project of Michelle Zauner, and her music blends various genres, but it’s mainly described as indie pop with elements of experimental pop, dream pop, and alt-rock. Her sound is known for its lush, atmospheric production, emotional depth, and rich textures. The music often features a mix of synthesizers, dreamy guitar lines, and catchy, melancholic melodies.

On her earlier albums, like Psychopomp (2016), you might hear more lo-fi indie rock influences with raw, intros

Discussed network security and streaming music.
