Safari on Linux - what is this?

I’m running EA build 1684 on ROCK with RoonOS 3.0 build 279. The display section in Settings has now announced that I have a display “Safari on Linux”. I assume it must be the HDMI output on my ROCK/NUC, but why is it called this - I thought Safari browsers were an Apple product?

Maybe you have Webkit browser and Roon equates Webkit with Safari?

I am actually using Safari on my Mac, but my ROCK nevertheless does not show this

I have no Apple products in our house - and I don’t remember seeing this before in RoonOS 3.0. Most odd.

I think this entry represents the physical HDMI output on your ROCK hardware. Roon utilizes a lightweight WebKit framework to push the Roon display interface through that HDMI port to a connected TV or monitor.

Why it shows for you and not others on an oddity in its own right.
