Description of Issue

The hard drive on my Mac mini Fusion drive died suddenly and I could not back up content, however I do have a Roon backup on a Samsung T5 1Tb SSD I’ve been using for just that purpose. The “new” Mini sees the the Samsung, Roon sees the backup files but doesn’t let me recover because I am already signed into a previous version of the CORE.
Do I delete the other version, as suggested under migrating Roon to a new computer?
If I do that, will it let me sign in on the new Mini and recover the backups?
Sorry if these are noob questions but I’m a noob to computers. Great at woodworking but get confused and scared quickly with computers.

Thanks, in advance, for the help.

Quick addition, I get to a step where Roon asks if I want to “deauthorize” a previous core. Is that what I need to do before I set up the new core, which is what I’ve been using the Mini as.

Thanks again

OK, I deauthorized the old Mac Mini and the set up for the new one with the all SSD drive was really, really fast.

Thanks,

Mike
