I listen mostly to internet radio (radio Paradise) and streamed music (Tidal) most of it in 44.1 sampling rate which can sound a bit grainy lacking in sparkle compared to some high res tracks on tidal.
Previously I tried sample rate conversion in roon and found it increased resolution but seemed to thin the sound out and make it uninvolving and harsh.
I recently revisited up sampling and converted 44.1khz to 88.2 and the thin and hard sound was gone and and it now sounded more like the high res tracks on tidal, extended and cleaner highs and tighter more, defined bass.
Iām not sure what has changed with the introduction of Muse (new algorithm?) but it sounds great- well done!
