When I check the sample rate conversion tag, I can see that the option is set to "For compatibility only" which is dimmed and cannot changed, what are the possible causes? I am using Teac UD-701n as the end-point, connecting the same home network as Roon server using ethernet connection. Please advise!

The source file in this instance is DSD128. You haven’t stated what OS you’re using for your server, but Roon OS and mac OS will use DSD over PCM (DoP), and the maximimum DSD you’ll achieve is determined by the maximum PCM of the TEAC.
For instance, DSD64 conversion is to 352.8 kHz PCM. DSD128 would be double, and so on.
Therefore, please confirm what Roon server is running on and share Device settings and Advanced settings for the TEAC.
