Sample Rate Conversion to 44.1 kHz with Teac UD-701n Endpoint (ref#S6GSA9)

Hi! What’s not quite right with Roon?

· None of the above quite fits

None of the above quite fits

· None of these quite match

Tell us what's going on

· When I play a hi_Res file above 44.1, for example 88.2, the sample rate convsersion keep converting it back to 44.1. When I check the sample rate conversion tag, I can see that the option is set to "For compatibility only" which is dimmed and cannot changed, what are the possible causes? I am using Teac UD-701n as the end-point, connecting the same home network as Roon server using ethernet connection. Please advise!

Tell us about your home network

· I am using 2 Linksys E9450 routers and Mesh connected. No VPN or switch. Directly connect the endpoint to one of the router using ethernet cable.

Please show the signal path in roon.
The TEAC is connected via Ethernet/roon/RAAT or USB?
Your TEAC has the latest firmware installed?

Seems fine here? but the bit rate doesn’t show correctly in my endpoint.

What exactly shows your TEAC?
You have the latest TEAC firmware?
You enabled “native DSD” in your roon settings?

The source file in this instance is DSD128. You haven’t stated what OS you’re using for your server, but Roon OS and mac OS will use DSD over PCM (DoP), and the maximimum DSD you’ll achieve is determined by the maximum PCM of the TEAC.

For instance, DSD64 conversion is to 352.8 kHz PCM. DSD128 would be double, and so on.

Therefore, please confirm what Roon server is running on and share Device settings and Advanced settings for the TEAC.

Hi maddib, my problem is resolved, it is only my stupid mistake about the display setting on the Teac. Thank you!

Thanks for the explanation given.
