As a previous owner of a Chord Dac, I particularly enjoyed the colorful display that showed the sample rate. I’m wondering now if there is a way (through extensions or IFTTT) to send lighting instruction to a color LED to display sample rates when listening to Roon. For example: 16/44 is playing, so lightbulb(s) turn red.
This isn’t available through the roon API, so not an easy thing to do (I had a similar idea switching a lamp’s colour).
Hopefully the API will get some love at some point.
There might be a way via custom hardware, or a DAC that can return its status over an API.
It could be done through HQplayer…
