Scale Roon Client Display

One of the devices that I use to control Roon is a Windows notebook computer with a 13.3" display running a resolution of 1920 x 1080.

The Roon application will not display on this device without running in Fullscreen mode. This is only application that I have encountered this problem with.

Can the display functionality be changed to allow the application to run on devices of this size without having to be in Fullscreen mode. It is a very common size for notebook computers.

Try changing the scaling. Roon does run in that resolution without needing to use Fullscreen.

It runs correctly at 140% scaling but not the recommended 150% that works with every other app. It is irksome.

Roon needs 768 pixel height. You don’t get that even in full screen with 150% scaling - you might miss some content / buttons.

You can use a different scalefactor for the Roon application by changing the command line to start the application.
Here are some examples:

  • C:\WINDOWS\system32>C:\Users???\AppData\Local\Roon\Application\Roon.exe -scalefactor=1
  • C:\WINDOWS\system32>C:\Users???\AppData\Local\Roon\Application\Roon.exe -scalefactor=0.75
  • C:\WINDOWS\system32>C:\Users???\AppData\Local\Roon\Application\Roon.exe -scalefactor=1.25
