Description of Issue
Monitoring for new music being added to my library is not working, probably due to the number of files, although I’m using a USB-attached local drive rather than NAS.
I found some mentions in earlier support topics and posts about setting a rescan period, but I can’t seem to find that option (perhaps it’s been deprecated or moved).
Is there a way I can schedule a forced rescan of my library?
My library is about that size and I have the same NUC and albums are added quickly.
Maybe try a different usb port just as an easy thing to try.
Then it might be disc test.
After that it’s Roon @support.

If you go to Settings → Storage and select the Edit option for your folder(s) (via the 3 dots menu), you’ll see the “Automatic Rescan Interval” option.
If there’s something else that I might look for in the logs to see why the automatic refresh is failing, I’m happy to go fishing. I didn’t see anything obvious, but wasn’t sure what to look for.
You can undertake a “Force rescan” of locally attached storage from the edit menu referred to in an earlier post, which will scan the whole library and add any new files it finds. But at this time you cannot schedule it to happen automatically.
