Is it possible to use Roon to search for live albums in my own library and/or also when using tidal?
I don’t know about Tidal but you sure can for your own library. It just isn’t called search but Focus instead and the results are actually track based rater than album based.

Focusing on Live with albums will find albums that are marked live not just ones where tracks have been marked as live.
