Description of Issue

When editing an album, there is a field for adding additional labels and also a search field. I rarely manage to find anything with this search. First I thought it was just slow indexing, but it is not only that, as skipping the initial letter actually lets me find what I am looking for.

If this could be fixed somehow, it would be lovely.

Hi @Martin_Friberg. That’s definitely unexpected behavior. I’m bringing this up with the appropriate team to have them look into it.

Thanks for letting us know!

Hi @Martin_Friberg

I wanted to follow up on this – We haven’t been able to reproduce this behavior in-house and I’m hoping you can provide some more information about what you’re seeing. Is this happening with all label names, or specifically Kranky?

Can you show some more examples?

Does this happen if you use a different remote?

Hello dylan, thanks for getting back to me. This is something that has, since I registered with Roon about 2 years ago, been consistently broken. On all remotes and with all label names I tried. The workaround I showed here is something I discovered at the time of my post, so that was a new solution for myself.

However, after seeing your post a few days ago, I have been trying to replicate the issue as it is not showing. On any of my remotes! Build 814 and 816 came after my post. Could it be that something in those fixed this issue or do you suspect this was local to only my installation?

Anyhow, it doesn’t really matter, as this seems to be a thing from the past now. If I ever see if again, I will reopen the case.

Hi @Martin_Friberg

To my knowledge, there wasn’t any change in 814/816 to fix this, but I’m happy to hear that things are working okay for you at the moment! If you do see any issues return please let us know and we can re-open this investigation.
