Search function failing with "Can't connect to Roon Search" error (ref#R8PLOB)

Whilst waiting for your request to reach the top of the Roon support queue, as a trouble shooting step could try the following:

  • Reboot your router and any associated network equipment.
  • Wait for the reboot to complete and router to establish comms to the internet.
  • Then reboot the machine that Roon Server is running on.

I hope this works, but if not at least it rules out a step for Roon support.

I highly recommend following the instructions provided by @Carl - they are excellent and definitely worth trying first.

Fixed now thanks. There was an ip address clash. The fact that roon was running OK apart from search threw me off the track of finding the issue.
