Description of the issue
I searched on “Never Dreamed You’d Leave in Summer” and uncovered an interesting phenomenon:
Now, I knew nothing about this song before my search, so I did not include a performing artist’s name. Under those circumstances (literal song title / no artist name) , I would think the “Top Result” would be the Composition itself, instead of a specific performance as above. That’s Mystery #1.
Mystery #2 is: why is James Blake’s rendition the Top Result? It’s found on a 19 minute album (great value) and does not seem to be, IMO, a particularly good cover. Why not go with the original rendition by Stevie Wonder, who also wrote it?
But again, the obvious Top Result is the composition itself.
Not a real burning issue, not even simmering, but I thought it might be worth adding to the pile of edge cases for fine tuning the Search function. NRN
