Searching for Them

When I search for “Them” (Van Morrison’s old band), Roon tells me: “Can’t connect to Roon search”. When I search for “Them again” (their second album) there is no problem. No other search I tried gives me any problems, but Roon refuses “Them”. Am I alone in this? Anybody any idea what is going on?

I have the same results as @Anthro, starting from the Home screen

did you try if it makes any difference if you are on another page, such as Artists of Albums, or even Tracks, …?

I get the same thing. No connection.

And do you have them as an Artist in your Library already?
I have, so maybe different search result is related?
Just thinking out loud.

FWIW, It shows up for me, similar to @Anthro. “Them” is in my library from CD rip of The Best of Van Morrison. Not sure if that makes a difference.

No issues searching here, don’t have anything in my library.

Thanks for the suggestions (Artist, Albums, Tracks), but none of it works for me. Roon keeps telling me: “Can’t connect to Roon search” and happily carries out all other searches that I have tried. Very strange. This is of course not a big deal, but I am just very surprised.

Thanks for reporting this, unfortunately, I can’t reproduce the problem. The issue seems to be that your roon server is sending an invalid request to the search service. I’ve enabled verbose logging now in order to see what exactly is causing the issue. Would you mind restarting your roon core and re-trying the query?

Done. Shut down and started up again and re-tried the query. Same result:

Think they might have fixed it. Mine was doing the same yesterday, today it works fine.

Didn’t work for me. As I said, it is not a big deal, but it is strange and somewhat annoying. Since Roon staff picked the case up, I remain curious as to what might cause it.

It’s not yet fixed, it might take a few days. I just needed some additional logs.
