Describe the issue

Roon-related security alerts being triggered

Describe your network setup

All Ubiquiti gear, all connected via ethernet. Unifi Gateway Ultra connected to a USW Ultra switch, to which my ROCK server is connected. Lumin U1 Mini streamer is connected to the same network.

Things start to happen if you open a port to the internet – which happens by default when you install Roon 2.0 because of ARC. If you don’t want to use ARC, set the port to 0 in Roon’s configuration.

Hi @Omar_Ghaffar,

We’ll need a little more information to take action on this report (such as the specific messages you’re receiving), but in general, @BlackJack is correct.

Roon will attempt to configure a port forwarding rule with your router’s UPnP stack to allow for access to ARC outside your home network. In some router firmware, any change to the firewall, even a secure, intentional change, will prompt an automatic warning.

Ensure that you haven’t inadvertently disabled any router firewalls or exposed IP addresses in your rotuer’s DMZ. We’re happy to answer any questions. You can read more here:
