Security when using an ARC

Earlier this year My flat collection was hit by a ransomware I didn’t pay so I’ve spent a lot of time replacing the files that were encrypted by those bastards. I don’t know much about IT stuff my son takes care of that for me but we were wondering about the security that you built in ARC to protect my files from this happening again. Someone please explain this to us
Thank you

Not sure, but at a minimum you want at least one complete backup of your music files on a USB drive that is not normally connected to a computer. I have four 4TB portable USB drives with backups of my music, stored in 3 different locations in two states. Drives will go bad, it is only a question of when. And this also protects against ransomware. .
