I have some chromecast devices and roon ready devices and some apple tvs - can I send the same track to all destination types at the same time? I can’t see a way to group devices in Roon and send to the group.
No you can only send to groups of one type.

You cannot group different types for synchronized playback. You can play back to all the different types simultaneously you just have to manually kick it off. Obviously, they will not quite be in sync.

Thanks guys, I was hoping with roon ready I wouldn’t have to add a chromecast to have zone sound.
Roon ready and Chromecast are different protocols and can’t be grouped. You can only group like protocols endpoints.
You can, however, use Airfoil on a Mac to send to all the devices at once. It will do basic syncing, and you can adjust the sync per-endpoint. Set Roon as the Airfoil source. Hires will be downsampled.
