Hi @zachjstoll,

Thank you for your post.

We’ve pulled diagnostic logging and see a few patterns:

  1. Roon Server is having difficulty reliably reaching upstream services, returning generic timeouts or reachability errors when it attempts to grab data from cloud services (the date/time, metadata, etc). Do you have any active network security in which Roon isnt’ a safelist/exception item? The Microsoft Defender firewall and antivirus software are common culprits after a Roon update because they detect the update as a new binary.

  2. We see some I/O errors when Roon Server attempts to write to the temp files. Something is intermittently restricting Roon’s disk permissions; this commonly also points to anti-virus software or other local security on the computer, but Backup software or other media software making changes to your library are also potential causes.

  3. Lastly, we see RAATServer attempting to handshake with a network endpoint and the connection drops halfway through. In a simple network topology without any managed switches or second routers, this would be rare unless something is actively interfering with Roon’s network connection.

I’d first ensure that Roon is safelisted in your firewalls:

If you’ve already taken this step or it’s not relevant, then please fully reboot RoonServer and attempt to connect to your Remotes and endpoints so we can fully capture the failure again in logs.

Thank you!
