Hi Guys,
i wanted to add another endpoint to my setup and bought the RaspPi 3A+ without a ethernet port.
Is it possible to set it up with wifi directly?
I tried to add the mac adress into my router but that didnt do the trick…
Any suggestions are very welcome!

I don’t think so…3b+ is recommended. (edit but go for the RPi4 (1GB is fine)
You need an internet connection to have the ropieee os install…after that you can activate the WiFi. I don’t think a usb Ethernet would work either… @spockfish Harry?

Thanks for the quick reply!
I tried to add a .conf in /root but with no luck…
Then I have to get a B+ tomorrow!

RoPieee requires internet during installation. I’m not sure what you try to achieve with ‘a .conf in /root’ but whatever it is: it does not work.
If you want to get a B+, and your still about to buy: go for the Pi 4. It’s a few bucks more, but a better device in all aspects.
