This is just silly. We are not suggesting sharing the music with an outside person, just the songs. And what bothers me more is no formal response to this very reasonable request from Roon.
Guys, posting +1 does not help. You need to vote for the feature. There are way more +1 than votes right now.
I think people do +1 because we only have something like four total votes to spend.
That is the point. Votes are used to prioritize the requests. If you care about four others things more, it tells Roon that this should be lower priority.
Also, I think a lot of people don’t know about the Vote button.
The whole system is kind of meaningless. There are so many things missing from Roon, and have been missing for years, that voting for only four of them only dilutes the power of the votes.
Perhaps the feature requests should be more along the lines of Build a comprehensive playlist system with at least the basic features of any other music player on the market, rather than just we want Smart Playlists.

Voting for the ability to share playlists from a music library management platform, feels a bit like asking for a reverse gear on a car.
Shareable Playlists…was common with Spotify in 2012…was requested here in this exact thread in 2016 and now it’s 2024 and Roon is no better a product than it was years ago. Unbelievable.
Made a suggestion in this thread on how playlist sharing could work in Roon, so linking to it rather than duplicating what I wrote there…
