I have one of my Roon core (Nucleus+) set up in a large corporation network. I would really like to user/password protect the smb share (./Data).
You should vlan or subnet it.
Anyone could start Roon and delete all your music or drag and drop files into Roon to add music. Adding a password to the smb share won’t prevent anything.
I’m not too worried about anyone installing Roon, they don’t know what Roon is
But of course in a perfect world password on profile would also be nice.
