Hello. I saw there is a live update today and even though I’m on current production, I follow the “Early Access” category and there seems to be issue with this release?
Just want to make sure it’s been thoroughly tested and safe to download.
Thanks,
Spence

The Production update has builds 1782 / 373, which differ to those in Early Access. Personally, I wait for the Android app to be available first, which can take a short while, before upgrading production.
However, there is no reason not to take this release. Early Access is not for testing; it provides users an opportunity to try out new features early, and there is always a risk that EA builds may be incomplete or have issues.
Thanks so much. I appreciate the explanation. I’m always happy to update so I will proceed. If I have issues, I’ll reach out of course. Thanks and have a great day!
This will be the final testing cycle of our products and its purpose is to expose changes to as many different configurations and use cases as possible. As such it’s critical that we maintain a healthy number of participants in the Early Access program.
I’m assuming Early Access builds are being used to validate both new features and ongoing bug fixes.

Without looking to get into a detailed discussion about this, a Roon production release does not seek sign-off by EA, which may or may not be a release candidate. What’s more, EA is not formal testing, but is seeking to identify any showstoppers and stabilize the build before production release (Roon will already have fixed the code and tested internally.) Not all builds are released to EA.
When you put it like that, I believe some fixes I tested earlier in Early Access are already in the production release, but not yet present in the latest Early Access build.
