Show relevant streaming albums when filters apply

I’d like to show streaming albums in my filtered selection when I select a relevant filter. For example I have local 20 Deutsche Grammophon albums. When I select them I’d like to see the top 10-50-100 that Tidal and Qobuz have. The same with Synthpop, Rock, Barry Gibb, George Martin etc.

Now I have to go in to an individual album and see for “similar albums”. But it doesn’t work for labels for example.

For labels there exists this suggestion which already has lots of votes:

It’s not only for labels but for the entire filter category. For example I like OST’s. Ennio Morricone has 325 albums on Tidal. John Williams the same, Hans Zimmer, Vangelis, John Barry and the list goes on and on. Why do I have to manually browse and not show the top selection? Not everything but a good limit. 100 or something similar. Not everything.

There is now a popularity sorting in the artist page. Why not expand it in general. I know it may be very very data intensive with hundrends of hits per user. That’s why I want it with filters and limited results.

I didn’t understand exactly what you are envisioning (nor do I now), so I figured I’d link the case of the labels that seemed clear enough, just to help Roon Labs find all the related requests in case anyone ever looks at them.

As for your other ideas, it might increase chances (or not) to describe them in more detail.

I’m not a native english speaker.

I’ll try again. I have 100 albums in my library from every music genre. I also use Tidal. I’d like to expand my listening experiences. Now I’ll have to go in every album and see the recommended albums, the collaborations, the similar ones etc. From there I can add something in my library or just listen to that.

I’d like to skip that step. I would like to select a filter. Whatever filter that can apply to a streaming service. From the genre to a label or a producer. Then Roon will show the top albums from that filter. I gave an example with the OST’s. I don’t want all the 325 Morricone albums. I want the Sergio Leone ones, from John Williams the Star Wars and from John Barry the James Bond OST.

Just to have a reference to move on.
