The reason I got a car was so that I could carry this.
FYI. Me at the national water sports centre at Holme Pierrepont

Frickin A!
My reason was so I could play CDs ![]()
No music systems on bikes back in those days.
You could probably carry that on a Gold Wing full dresser though nowadays ![]()
Btw…it’s 22 here this morning ![]()
8c. here or 44f ish but afternoon.
I hope you bought a house with a real fireplace.
Nothing better than a real fire. ![]()
Nope, but I am building a big bonfire outside from the trees I’m cutting down ![]()
My amps with the volume up get nice and toasty .
Definitely not something you see every day. One just popped up for sale on our local FB marketplace but asking way too much for an oversized traveling couch with hub center steering.
For once…I truly don’t…lol.
It’s an engineering curiosity is about it for myself.
I had an FZR1000RU when that and the Thunderace came out
Both very disappointing, I remember at the time - especially with the Fireblade having stolen the show a couple of years earlier
My speculation is they had no immediate answer to the FB (Thunderace certainly wasn’t it) but the R1 was in development and this was a stop-gap technology showcase. Something of a stay relevant marketing job, perhaps?
I saw one at the Peterborough show, it was a curiosity - and bloody expensive. I vaguely remember the likes of PB/Bike saying it was heavy, expensive, not (that) fast and overall a bit pointless - not really better that forks. But my then sports-bike-brain might have made all that up!
Its looks haven’t aged well, but that one is in great condition for 30 odd years old
Bimota did one years ago too, the tesi.
It eliminates fork dive when braking but adds weight.
These are the ones I was thinking of ,nearer to the age of the yam you posted.

@AceRimmer do you remember the quasar

Unfortunately I do😉
Quiet here again although I guess Europe, Great Britain and a fair chunk of the USA it’s to cold for anything much motorcycle related.
Well apart from buying of course…
Yep, I did it again.
Always wanted a ZX9, a gentlemen’s sports bike IMHO.
Fortunately a stock length swingarm came with the deal!
Project that should be quick and relatively painless.
It’s in excellent condition for a 2000 with just 11k miles.
Big Green Mean Flying Machine ![]()
So who did you buy it for ![]()
![]()
Actually…yes🤣
Cheeky Yung whippersnapper ![]()
Got to keep the humourous content up in these dark times. Not much to laugh about on these forums ![]()
