You bought it off Rupaul? ![]()
I think there others who belong there, mentioning no names. ![]()
Just to get back on topic.
Even though still some snow and ice around it was 56 out and sunny so I felt the need for a dose of riding.
Short but enjoyable.
Back to sleep it goes now.
That looks brand new. Stunning retro styling.
Then you are not in Florida atm.
It’s a 2019 with 5800 miles on it.
I bought it here in December and only ridden it three times so far…lol.
When I first saw this release I was blown away as about the best retro bike keeping so close to the look of the original I had seen to date.
And of course it’s truly a modern bike under the fancy clothes with abs, Fi and all mod cons.
It’s about ready for a new pair of tyres but I want to put a few miles on them first, the rear is very squared off, previous owner obviously didn’t get very brave in the Twisties ![]()
With a few additional modifications and an Andrews 485 Camshaft, we’re ready for spring. Now an E5 runs and sounds like a real Harley again.
The Handlebars are also higher with a 1.75 inch Riser Extension Kit.
Very nice evening last night here in Arkansas at 83 degrees and no humidity which made for a ride to nowhere and back just because ![]()
Well another day and another bike and another ride.
At least this time I had purpose of direction with places to go, people to see
WTH…let’s make it a trifecta.
Three of the three running bikes out for a spin to Subway to get dinner cos I can’t be bothered to do owt else ![]()
Oh I love the look of that bike ![]()
I’m glad you do as the MV forum guys hate it, you would think I murdered their first born
They despise the green plastic and wheels with a vengeance.
So I post pictures every chance I get🤣.
It’s been nicknamed " Kawagusta".
Ha ha maybe because I had a Lime Green Kawasaki trail bike in my early 20s and it brings back good memories ![]()
The collection all cosy now in Arkansas.
I did sell the Honda CB1000 in Florida.
The ZX9 is waiting for me to fit the stock length swingarm, stock rear suspension linkage, stock length sidestand and then raise the forks back up to standard height
Then and only then will it get ridden ![]()
Wow that’s some collection you have built up ![]()
I was only able to get one ride in before It snowed again here. The driveway was juuuust getting dry and firm after the frost came up. Forgot to take a picture…was too excited about getting out and riding.
Looks crazily long. What was it meant for - drag racing??
Yes, previous owner ran it for about 8 years at our local drag strip before it closed down.
Then it just sat in his garage for 10 years until I bought it.
It’s a 10" over length swingarm and lowered about 3".
Actually it’s quite a street craze to look like this in the USA as well…dumb as a box of rocks IMHO ![]()
What was also nice about this bike and it’s previous owner was that he did it all the right way once his drag strip days were over.
Drained all the fuel out, cleaned the carbs and tank out, changed the oil and kept battery on a trickle charger.
Fresh gas in it and she fired right up and sounded very healthy.
