Sounds good! You are not concerned about engine wear given the type of usage?

Of course it is a little concerning and only time will tell.
However these generation of Kawasaki and Suzuki motors used for drag racing a lot were pretty well overbuilt from the factory.
We will see but I will not be riding it hard, those days are long gone😁

Bought some panniers to replace the Kriega US-30 (excellent)
Using the US-10 for tech stuff (all the junk you need to take on tour JIC)

Two dead unfortunately. 21 and 29 years old, no age.

Went for a ride around the Cotswolds today as the weather has been so nice.

Lovely spot - Bourton on the Water?

No , not far away from there.

Looks lovely, and not too crowded. Last time we went to Bourton you couldn’t move for tourists and “selfie sticks”:smirk:. Must try Bilbury next time - thanks for info:+1:

Oh it was busy.
Bibury not Bilbury👌

Where do they all come from :face_holding_back_tears: :joy:? I am sure that Bilbury is not as crowded as Bibury :smirk:. Glad you put me right on that one - could have turned up at the wrong place .

My S1000R in for major service but they couldn’t finish it by 15:00, so gave me a loaner. Offered me a huge bloaty thing, but I said I’d rather try this GS310. Single, 33BHP

Two hours later…

That was flipping excellent fun!

I laughed out loud three times and got beeped at twice :grinning::+1:

As they say, ragging a small engine beats tickling a big one any day - and you can pin this through 4 gears (surprisingly rapidly) to 70mph no bother

It’s ideal for the South East of England; tall so you can see over traffic (too many cars), long suspension for the (worse than Belgium) dreadful roads, fast enough to have fun but not get caught

If I had the money I’d get one (but try, say, the KTM 390 first)

I got my MT07 for the same reason, fairly light and not stupidly powerful and with no fairing you have the wind to keep your speed at least “reasonable”.

Both the little 310 and the 390 Duke are on my shopping list for an around town backroads of Arkansas fun toy, albeit cheap and used but hopefully not too abused.
Also a Suzuki DRZ400M would be a hoot!

Off to look at this tomorrow morning.
Left over 24 model and they said they can definitely do a good deal on it.
Yes it’s a bit bigger than a single cylinder BMW or Duke but what a beast.
Keep tuned.
