You were VERY lucky
I saw a BMW for sale on FB a few days ago for parts only as same had happened to them but it caught fire under the seat and melted most of it to slag!

Yep, it was 7 F (-14 C) last night here and is 37 F (2 C) now so a 30 degree swing in 10 or so hours. It’s going to be a slushy muddy mess for the next week or so. Spent 7 hours total clearing snow (walk behind snowblower and shoveling) from my drive and garage/shop so far.
@AceRimmer Not good, hopefully no one was injured. Luckily, for me, I heard the sparks fly and took the battery out to inspect it right away. It was the original battery in my 2012 Victory Cross Roads. so 14+ year old battery. I got my moneys worth out of it. LOL
Fortunately nobody was injured.
Guy was riding it and it seems he managed to keep his sense of humour as he quiped that it gave a whole new meaning to “heated seat”! ![]()
all I read was look how much space I have for storing more motorcycles and maybe some additional overflow to the overflow vinyl storage ![]()
I’m not going to say anything about the registration number 47 on the kwacker ![]()
My first bike was a Triumph Bonneville
Sorry about that @AceRimmer I know it was me that forced you into it ![]()
To be honest a Triumph has been on my wish list for decades but never scratched the itch.
Back in the seventies when I started riding one would have had to have been quite mad to buy a Triumph or Norton in place of something like a Honda 400/4, 500/4 or 750/4 and of course the Kawasaki Z900.
The Japanese had already annihilated the British motorcycle industry remains by the mid seventies.
I am most glad you understand and accept the blame here, good show old bean!
Did you get the RE yet?
Yes, I fetched it Wednesday afternoon. ![]()
