Showing (off) your Motorcycles

Not to be a “bad” influence, but, would adjusting the pegs help your knees? What position were they in? I think they have three positions? Also, I believe the GT models have forward controls? Not sure on that…

Saw a few videos on youtube about different options.

A little late to be a bad influence now , that was over 20 years ago. I’ve owned motorcycles for 45 years. Been riding since I was 16. Lost interest after moving to a college town with 80,000 student drivers. Too dangerous

My sporting transportation of choice now, in retirement years, would be a nice fishing boat for my wife and I and the grand kids. And the first great grand child on the way.

Way too big for my tastes and age…lol.

What is it like 2500cc and around 750lb?

A tank on two wheels

Out today and this ford crossing was dry as a bone.

I found this photo online. Bad boy, around 180 hp and 165 tq. 0 to 60 in 3 seconds. Looks like the John Deere 3 cyl diesel in my tractor.

It makes a Ducati Diavel look like a mini bike!

I think this trike is more my style now, pretty lady not included. Prefer 2 wheels in front vs 2 in back. I’ve seen one of these with the cushy recliner on back for rider comfort.

I had a Can-Am a few years back as I thought the same, turned out not to be a great move.

It was ok but just not something I decided I really wanted or liked overmuch.

@AceRimmer It was around Sept 2021:+1:

When worked at Polaris I did a lot of PQV test riding for Victory and Indian and also got to ride competitor bikes to compare. Was not a fan of the Can-Am trikes or the two-rear-wheel trike conversions. In the Can-Am Spyder they had to limit power and go heavy on the traction control to make it “safe” for cornering and it just does not ride like a bike. The two rear wheel trikes and conversions were even worse.

I’ll stick to the two wheel motorcycles.

Over a month with no Motorcycle posts in this glorious prime time weather?

Just passed 450 miles on the way to first service at 600 miles and the rev limit being unlocked.

How is the Royal Oilfield going @RodS ?

@AceRimmer The weather has turned, ironically on the first day of summer, this was the end of May when it was still sunny.

Reminds me of a motorcycle rally I attended around 2007 where several bike manufactures/dealers where conducting group demo rides.

A guy demoing a Trident Rocket III, slowing as he entered a small village, went a little heavy on the brakes, and flipped the bike end over end. I didn’t witness it, but the bike was totaled and he was the talk of the rally for the next couple days. No injuries and everyone had to provide proof of insurance to qualify for demo, so the guy was just sheepishly embarrassed.

I had fun testing an Aprilia Tuono wheelie machine. That’s also where I saw and rode a BMW K1200 Sport, which is my current bike.

I managed to get 10 days in France, peasant 31-33c

Knew I’d get rained on a bit on the first day; Dunkirk to Chateaux-Thierry, but after that it was the usual French riding loveliness - about 3700km in all

Hi,

I sold my Harley and now ride a Vespa
GTS 310 Super Sport :victory_hand:
It’s different, you can’t compare it to a motorcycle…but it’s comfortable and cool

Have a good ride

I always thought those were excellent for around town.
Great fun and easy to get into and out of places.
