Showing (off) your Roon setup - description and photos [2025]

Nice but I especially like the rack - can you tell me where you got it (make, manufacturer)?

Thanks!
I haven’t tried with the newcomers, but I’ll give it a go next week while measuring.

Not the owner, but that’s USM Haller.

Jepp, USM Haller.

Yes, you are right. I am not a photographer.

Greetings.

How is the bass delivery with your speakers positioned about 6 feet from the front wall? I didn’t have any quality bass when I started my speaker positioning about 4 feet from the front wall.

Are you measuring to the front or the back of the speakers?

Mine are 4ft to the front wall from the back of the speakers.

My McIntosh amps I assume are warmer and slightly exaggerated in the bottom in comparison. Part of their house sound.

Your question motivated me to move my speakers back 6 inches. A bit of a pain on carpet but nothing a chunk of 2x4 to slide on doesn’t help.

The real motivation was I felt the center vocals were a touch too far back in the soundstage, panned content seemed a little strong in comparison sometimes. Reducing the distance to the wall should help in that regard from my past experience with speakers closer to the front wall.

Played a few tracks after the change, the center phantom image now seems more balanced with panned content. Bass can be harder to gauge, I heard a little more bass extension and detail when I played “Killing me Softly” by the Fugees. Most of what I listen to isn’t bass heavy.

Will listen for a few weeks and let the changes sink in.

I read your post where you mentioned the front of your speakers were just under 6’ from the front wall. So I wanted to know what you thought about your bass extension?

I was just trying to confirm if you are measuring to the front or the back of the speakers? Mine were 5.5’ to the front of the speakers before I moved them back 6 inches this AM. Now the backs are about 3.5’ from the wall.

I got’cha…. I was referring to the back of the speaker’s distance from the front wall. We’re same ballpark with our rear speaker distance. My Sasha V’s should be in next week. I’ll upload a photo of the room when they are installed.

beautiful.

why two 518s?

My mother -in -law was a dressmaker. I delivered her material (suede), dimensions and she sewed everything nicely. A friend made a logo with computer embroidery.

Wow, they look awesome! I was hoping you ordered them from a retailer, so I could order them. That’s a custom job.

Thanks!
