I’m thinking of this exact set up to slightly simplify. I’d be removing a Lehmann Black Cube SE2 as the phono stage for my MC cartridge. How do you like both the phono stage and digital side of the Brooklyn/SBooster?
I like Brooklyn Bridge a lot. You can find my old setup somewhere earlier in this topic, I was on a mission to simplify my system too. The digital and analogue preamp stages are excellent, I really can’t tell the difference between sources. I am using mine with a MM cartridge, though, I can’t speak for the MC stage.
Nice set up. I swear every time I see someone with an LP12 it just kills me that I ‘cheated-out’ 35 years ago when I bought my Linn Axis. I was 24 at the time and still a bit poor. I’ve gotten such great enjoyment out of that table but I really would love to have an LP 12.
Recently upgraded both the computers power supplies to Corsair RM650x (550 sold out) they have lower ripple (noise than most power supplies). Also integrate capacitors in power cables to reduce feedback. It is not an LPS both both systems sound a bit more refined and open then before upgrade. The two power supplies were cheaper by 25% than one LPS so I took what I could get. Any people building their own systems check out Toms Hardware for reviews including ripple…on computer SMPS
