· When I click on the signal path in roon while using the s/pdif input it says its output is USB. Switching to usb the signal path then says it output is analog? I am using a Rivo plus into either a benchmark dac3 or the internal dac on my audio note cobra integrated amp with the same results.Any thoughts?
Signal Path transparently displays what the device has declared the connection format to be. Roon has no mechanism by which to detect which physical output is actually carrying the bits; it has to rely on what the Rivo+ itself is reporting.
The Rivo+ has been reported previously to conflate SPDIF and USB in its announcements to Roon even when audio transport itself in unaffected. Most users disconnect the device and reconnect to resolve, or otherwise disconnect/reconnect over the desired format. See here:
